Love these reeds! The north fork is definitely my favorite so far, its durability is second to none! Tones are amazing.

  • Sean Davis

Absolutely love the Clearwater lineup from soft cows/calf to big old bull bugles these reeds can do it all. I’m hooked highly recommend this line up. New callers or highly experienced ones these are the way to go!!!

  • Bobby

Started blowing elk diaphragm calls in 1988. My options in the beginning for purchasing a specific or customized diaphragm call was limited due to the small number of call manufacturers. Over the past 36 years I've tried the majority of elk diaphragm calls made, some good and some not so good. I thought I had my favorite "go to" brand figured out until I ordered 3 Slayer calls, the Lochsa, North Fork and Selway. Easy for me to see that this group of hunters (folk at Slayer Calls) put their life's experiences to work when making calls...I'm not just blowing smoke here, the Slayer calls are unreal good!! Most importantly, God is always good!!!

  • Sheldon88

Best sounding elk reeds I have ever used!! Especially when combined with Slayer's bugle tube for deeper, more powerful sound. Very satisfied with product quality and customer service!

  • Jesse Miller

Picked up this call at the sportsman's show in Portland Oregon and right out of the package I liked it. Great volume and very crisp bugles. Really liked how the calf calls sound in this call. Fit my mouth without any adjustments, would highly recommend this call!

  • Craig Wohlsein

I've used reeds for years. They all can very a little. Once I used the Slayer River series, it was definitely apperant there is a difference in the sound. First time hunting with them, I called a bull on second day of rifle season. That never happens where I hunt.

  • Scott Ladds

Amazing product [Miner Elk Reed]. This is 100 percent a do it all call. Cow, calf, bull, what ever you need to do it will do it clear and crisp. Slayer have a lot of great calls but this one will be my go to this season. Very durable call.

  • Mike B.

I will be the first to admit that I am very biased towards any reeds other than the ones I've been using the last few years. I never thought about giving any of the slayer calls a shot because I've bounced around on about all of them before I knew who they were and assumed that they were like the rest because all these calls are basically "the same". I grew up and my roots are firmly planted in places these reeds were named after, so when I heard about them, I had to at least give them a shot. Thank God I did, these reeds are not like the rest, the wide range of low-pressure reeds to high pressure reeds really make it easy to use no matter what level your calling is at. Add in the fact that I blow every reed out when having a bugle fest with a bull because of the excitement and emotion I put into my calling when that's happening is pretty rough on any reed. I haven't come close to blowing any of these out, still basically as easy and fresh as the day I got them. The name sold me but the quality, well that's what is going to keep me coming back for more. Just a normal guy, that loves elk, and I would recommend this series to anyone on any level.
