Slayer Calls launches latest training for Canada goose hunters
Just in time for goose season, Slayer Calls coach Tommy Sessions teaches the fundamentals of Canada geese calling on the Call the Wild training platform.
EAGLE, Idaho — Slayer Calls, an industry leader in wildlife calls, has launched its third training course on Call the Wild: Canada Goose Calling with experienced waterfowler Tommy Sessions.
Call the Wild is Slayer Calls’ education hub for hunters looking to up their game in calling and beyond. A one-year subscription gives callers access to bite-sized videos recorded by the pros, including competitive caller, Tommy Sessions.
The lessons in Call the Wild’s beginner and intermediate goose calling series provide a foundation for new callers and a refresher for longtime waterfowlers. The course was created to help hunters at any level build good calling habits and improve the odds of filling their limit.
“Learning to call geese is one of the more difficult calls to master in waterfowl hunting,” said Slayer CEO Bill Ayer. “Call the Wild is a start-to-finish series that will enable you to call geese and be successful in the field.”
As with other Call the Wild series, callers can take the Canada goose calling course at their own pace. The course encourages flexibility, inviting callers to review the exercises as many times as they want and perfect their own hard-won skills before ever stepping foot in a blind.
“The Call the Wild app is revolutionary,” said Sessions. “Calling geese is one of the most exhilarating experiences in the field. This app can fast-track your progress and ability so you can shoot geese feet down in the decoys.”
Call the Wild currently hosts three in-depth training courses: the Goose series, by Tommy Sessions; the Duck series, by Matt Carey; and the Elk series, by world champion caller Cody McCarthy. More Call the Wild series are in the works, including turkey calling and advanced elk and duck calling.
The Call the Wild training platform launched in September 2022 and currently boasts a 4.9 star rating on the App Store. Callers get unlimited access to all available training courses on Call the Wild with an annual membership, which can be purchased or gifted for $24.99.
