Description
Finally: a call so realistic, even the savviest ducks won’t know the difference.
What makes a duck’s mouth so unique? Scientifically speaking, it all comes down to the small, tooth-like notches called lamellae inside the beak. These fine structures help ducks filter out water, mud and other things clinging to their food. They also play a role in making ducks sound like ducks. And there, you see, is the point.
How does one make a mallard duck call sound identical to a real hen? Simply by replicating the hen mallard’s mouth, of course. You would know if you were talking to someone who didn’t have any teeth — ducks are no different.
Introducing the DUBAR mallard duck call — we call it the DUBAR, because it’s “ducked” up beyond all recognition! It’ll confuse any mallard who hears it. The DUBAR offers:
- Unique Sound. Recognized by F&S as a 2024 BEST duck call with its unique true-to-life sound. Super ducky sounding—nasty raspy.
- Performance Guaranteed. If you love running long cadences or find yourself squealing your call, you’re going to want to grab Slayer’s DUBAR duck call. The open bore design of this call allows more air to flow through without that unwanted squeal.
- Non-stick design. The tooth-like notches in the tone board filter away any excess spit and practically eliminate reed stick.
- Excellent UFR (User-Friendliness Rating). This duck call features single reed construction—great for veteran callers.
- Elegant, Sleek Design. The DUBAR mallard call is crafted with precision and attention to detail, making it as visually appealing as it is effective. With its acrylic design, this duck call can get loud!

Great call to add a little something extra to the lanyard.

I’ve had the dubar for about 1 1/2 weeks now and probably have around 6 hours practicing. This is my first single reed and I did buy the slayer teaching classes.Glad I did.Moving from double reeds to a single is a bit of a challenge but when you find out how much you were cheating with a double reed and get it right with a single,OMG! and the dubar is a raspy call that sounds ducky. When I pick up my double reed highball now it kinda sounds like a kids call.Pretty sure the dubar is going to land more mallards in my spreads! The dubar is a cool call but it does have it’s limitations on pitch range. You just have to find them based on each person’s calling ability.Great call.Looking into the axe goose next.

Recently bought the single and double reed Dubar call and I’m definitely recommending this call! It has a deeper sound and the reed never sticks! Good for a beginner or advanced caller.

My first intro to Slayer calls, and I couldn’t be happier. The realism this call brings to the duck blind is unmatched. Easy to use and takes very little air to run. Look forward to adding a couple more for the 24-25 season. Can’t beat the looks…stands out and sounds great.

Excellent call! Love that it doesn’t stick as this has been a problem for me in the past. Sounds great too. Slayer provided great customer service and I’ll be buying more from them in the future.

I Absolutely love this call. The versatility is outstanding, you can get really loud with it or you can get nice and soft, while remaining super ducky. It is easy to blow and sounds and looks great! I couldn’t be happier!
