Description
Finally — a set of calls capable of matching your intensity for the hunt. Slayer’s Clearwater River Elk Reeds includes three diaphragms, each one louder than the next. If you’re looking for volume, you can’t go wrong with this Clearwater River Elk Reed 3-pack.
- Clearwater North Fork Elk Reed (1): Made from highly durable .004” latex, the North Fork diaphragm features a tight stretch — get high notes with a lot of volume and good air pressure, all while holding on to those nasal tones callers should expect from latex. View detailed specs here. Weight: .05 oz / Dimensions: 1 × 1.75 in / Stretch: 6 — 1 (loose) to 7 (tight) / Tension: 6 — 1 (light tongue & air pressure) to 7 (heavy tongue & air pressure)
- Clearwater Selway Elk Reed (1): Crafted from .004” natural latex, the Selway Elk Reed has more stretch and thus produces a high, clear sound with more than enough volume. Like its cousin, the Lochsa, it sits back in its frame a bit, in a more traditional style. View detailed specs here. Weight: .05 oz / Dimensions: 1 × 1.75 in / Stretch: 4 — 1 (loose) to 7 (tight) / Tension: 5 — 1 (light tongue & air pressure) to 7 (heavy tongue & air pressure)
- Clearwater Lochsa Elk Reed (1): Similar to the Selway, the Lochsa Elk Reed is made from natural latex and features a more traditional design, sitting back further into its frame. The difference lies in the diaphragm’s thick, .006” latex. It’s got a great basal buzz and, best of all, tons of volume. View detailed specs here. Weight: .05 oz / Dimensions: 1 × 1.75 in / Stretch: 4 — 1 (loose) to 7 (tight) / Tension: 4 — 1 (light tongue & air pressure) to 7 (heavy tongue & air pressure)

I’ve used reeds for years. They all can very a little. Once I used the Slayer River series, it was definitely apperant there is a difference in the sound. First time hunting with them, I called a bull on second day of rifle season. That never happens where I hunt.

Love these reed’s! The north fork is definitely my favorite so far, its durability is second to none! Tones are amazing.
