Slayer Calls unveils its new Clearwater Frame and Series for elk hunters

EAGLE, Idaho — Slayer Calls, an industry leader in wildlife calls, has unveiled its newest product lineup: the Clearwater Frame and Series, designed by Idaho elk hunters and inspired by the Clearwater Wilderness.
Comprised of seven total elk reeds, the Clearwater Frame and Series guarantees hunters an improved calling experience. Designed to perform better and longer, every diaphragm in the series has been tested for durability, consistency, and fit. These days, it’s not unusual for a hunter to go through multiple reeds a day. That’s a problem; particularly when reeds are often constructed inconsistently, requiring more work from hunters at the most inconvenient times.
Clearwater reeds are designed differently. The Clearwater frame is stiffer and tougher and will not torque when pressure is applied. Its inverted frame provides 180-degree contact on the latex, giving the call better longevity and consistency — not to mention, increased comfort. The call’s bottom side of the frame cups upward when seated in the mouth, to more closely match the human pallet.
During the 2022 elk season, Slayer Calls rigorously tested the new Clearwater frame and diaphragms. More than 1,000 frames were distributed among hunters; the results of which were clear: “I’ve used calls from every major brand out there — multiple different styles among years of differing experience levels,” said one reviewer. “I can confidently say that these calls are the easiest to pop right in and get running right off the bat; with quality sound to boot.”

Each reed in the Clearwater series takes its name from the area’s workers or topography. Examples include the Miner, the North Fork and the Logger.
Currently, hunters can purchase the Clearwater Frame and two different reeds online. Check back in December for five additional exciting reeds.
